Know that it's not that difficult to do alone, you just need to pay attention to the declaration delivery dates.

Some websites provide a section just to answer questions about income tax, such as Declare Certo, which even has a forum where you can post more specific questions that you haven't found an answer to.

Who needs to declare?

The first thing to do is make sure you fall into the tax exemption bracket. If adding up your wages last year, you earned up to R$23,499.15, you are exempt from declaring. Even so, an exemption declaration must be made.

Other income tax exemptions include:

  • Payment of PIS/PASEP
  • Gains from profits and dividends as long as they have already been taxed at source
  • Earnings from savings, real estate credit note, mortgage note and certificates of real estate receivables
  • Benefits granted by Social Security in the event of death or permanent disability
  • Exempt plots determined in rural activity
  • Receipt of advance notice, FGTS, labor compensation, sickness benefit and funeral benefit
  • Receiving unemployment insurance
  • Retirement receipt by people over 65 years of age, as long as it does not exceed R$ 1,638.11 per month
  • Voluntary Dismissal Program (PDV) benefits.
  • Receiving retirement due to a service accident or serious illness
  • Gains obtained by the citizen with shares and gold transactions on the stock exchange, whose monthly value is equal to or less than 20,000 reais, for the shares as a whole and for gold, individually
  • Income tax refunds

How to do your Income Tax alone?

If you don't fit into the exemption range, the best thing to do is to declare before the deadline, to avoid last minute rush. Furthermore, by making the declaration as soon as possible, you guarantee that you will receive a tax refund in the first batches.
Knowing the difficulty that most Brazilians face in making the correct declaration and not falling into the Lion's fine mesh, the Federal Revenue launched a tutorial that clearly explains all the steps necessary to make the income tax declaration without errors and then generate the DARF and pay it via bank debit or print it to pay at the bank of your choice.

You can also use the Revenue simulator to calculate how much tax you will have to pay to Leão and prepare your pocket so as not to compromise your household budget.
