1- Metal detector
Developed by Netigen Tools, It has almost 1 million downloads.
With this application downloaded on your device, you will be able to detect various precious metals, through the magnetic field present in the metals.
How it works: The magnetic field (EMF) level in nature is about 49μT (micro tesla) or 490 mg (milligauss); 1μT = 10 mg. If any metal is nearby, the value of the magnetic field will increase.
Each metal has a different magnetic field than the other metal. You'll learn over time to know which metal we're talking about, but while you're still a learner, the app tells you that metal is present, and you'll need to find out which metal is in question.
It may be aluminum, silver, gold, copper and among other known metals. You can test with copper cables, aluminum boxes and more.

2- Metal detector
This app was developed by Smart Tools Co. It has about 10 thousand downloads.
Application launched in 2011 but has just undergone an update.
Application has the option for you to select which miligauss you want to be detected, the higher the number, the purer the metal and the more precious. So you can leave it selected for the application to show only when it is facing a silver, gold or even diamond.
Great for looking in the sand after a party or the night in high seasons on vacation at the beach or in the woods.
It all depends on where you live and what environment you can fetch the metals from.

3- Metal Detector
Application developed by Alekandr Balyberdin. Only available for iOS.
Its design looks like a magnetometer, it works perfectly on all apple devices. It even has comments saying that they tested it on iPhone 5 and it works perfectly.
It takes up almost no space, just 8MB. It is completely free and its indicative rating is 4+.
