Nowadays, the most common preparation of Arabic garlic paste is done using a food processor, mixer or blender and vegetable oil instead of olive oil, which leaves the sauce with a smoother flavor and even whiter.
Now you will see what ingredients and how to prepare this sauce. See now:
Ingredients to make Arabica Garlic Sauce:
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2½ cups vegetable oil or olive oil
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
How to prepare Arabic garlic sauce:
- To prepare the Arabic garlic cream, start by peeling the garlic cloves. To learn how to peel garlic quickly, watch the video below.
- Purée the garlic cloves and salt in a blender or food processor until they become a paste. Add the juice of 1 lemon and beat again, just to mix.
- While beating, add the oil in a very thin stream, about half a cup at a time. After adding the first half cup of oil, you will start to see the garlic emulsify and turn into a paste. Continue adding the oil in the same way, slowly, to allow for good emulsification.
- At the end, if necessary, adjust the flavor of the Arabic garlic paste with a little salt. Serve then with shawarma, kebab, kibbeh or another option of your choice and bon appétit.
